Why I Blog

This is the first time I’ve been tagged. Yay! Gleb at Personal Development Ideas has asked me to take part in the ‘Why I Blog’ meme that has spread around the blogosphere. I’m excited to take part, thanks Gleb!

I Love To Help! - I really do. When I can see the huge positive benefits Personal Development has had on my life, I feel compelled to share this with others. My relationships, wealth, spirit, emotional life and my physical body have all improved thanks to the winning strategies I employ. This stuff needs to be shared!

I Love To Learn - I get to participate with other like-minded people. So as well as sharing my winning strategies, I also get to learn from others as well. It’s a great community.

To Start A Mastermind Group - As a big fan of Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich!, I really wanted to start my own local mastermind group, blogging has provided me with the opportunity to do this - mission accomplished!

To be Financially Free - This one seems to be common amongst almost all of us bloggers. Pretty much self-explanatory, I would like to make a living doing what I love.

To Challenge Myself - Blogging makes me set new goals, and goals provide challenges, and challenges make me grow! It just fits in with my philosophy on life, part of which is to continually grow and expand as a person. An example of this is the fact that this website exists! I knew that I was going to make a Personal Development website but hadn’t a clue how. I didn’t even know what a blog was! But I taught myself and I have grown as a result as my technical abilities have expanded.

An added bonus to all of this I find is that as I teach and write and I am learning too. Stephen Covey once said in one of his books that you should learn his material with a view to teaching it to someone else, as this is actually the best way to learn it for yourself. I have since found this to be true, my levels of understanding and the extent to which I practice what I preach have increased dramatically since I started doing this.

Okay, I would like to ask the following people to share with us their reasons for blogging:

Debojit Chowdhury @ Free Life Coaching

Sania Wyatt @ Her Blog About Happiness

Sammie @ Personal Trainer Toronto

Phil Brown @ Get-Fit-R

SCapitalist @ The Stubborn Capitalist

Thanks for reading and I look forward to reading everyone else’s answers!
