Every achiever/success orientated individual on this planet at some point has asked themselves, “How can I get results more rapidly?” They want to get access to new ideas, skills and expertise; basically, they want to take it to the next level. The principle I will share here will provide the answer if implemented.

I take no credit for the discovery of this method; it’s from a book called Think and Grow Rich! by Napoleon Hill. So lets start by taking a quote from the book to define exactly what the mastermind is.

“(the) coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.”

Simply put, if you want to ensure success you should get around those with the same goals and aspirations. I’m not saying that you can’t make it alone but if you are the type of person that is intelligent, positive and ambitious enough to make it alone, just think of what could happen if you pooled your mind with others of a similar nature.

The Mastermind Principle - How Does It Work

Well except for the obvious benefit of gaining access to new ideas and staying motivated, the most powerful advantage is all in the mind. When two minds work together in a spirit of harmony, it is said to create a third mind - this is synergy. Of course, if you expand the amount of minds involved, the results can be breathtaking! You see, everything is energy, including your thoughts. Different types of thought vibrate at different levels. When 2 or more people come together with thoughts in the same vibratory range, astounding results will soon follow. For any guitar players out there (like myself) pluck a ‘D’ note on the ‘A’ string. Let it vibrate for a second then stop it, the ‘D’ string below it will still be vibrating by itself even though you didn’t touch it. This shows that similar vibrations resonate with each other and also that different ranges don’t e.g. the other strings E, G, B and High E, stay silent. Pretty cool, don’t you think?

The Law Of Attraction

For me the Law of Attraction works primarily (if not exclusively) at the level of thought. You can and do attract similar thoughts to your own from other people. Thoughts, especially emotionalised ones, act as magnet which will bring back to you related thoughts within the overall field of consciousness. Have you ever wondered how serial killers, like married couples that kill, meet? (especially before the days of the internet) We’ve had a few of those in our time unfortunately. On the other side of the spectrum, successful, prosperous people find each other, stay together and grow rich together. This is how cliques form in school and in the workplace. If your thoughts don’t ‘match up’, you will repel each other.

Infinite Intelligence

We also get to dip into the greatest source of knowledge there is - Infinite Intelligence (super-conscious mind if you prefer). This alliance of minds has the power to “absorb power directly from the great universal storehouse of Infinite Intelligence.” Sounds promising doesn’t it? Individuals can benefit from this too of course, it’s not just for groups. I personally use it every day. I ask and ask and ask again, then I affirm and re-affirm my desires. It’s there to be used and it doesn’t matter where you are doing it or how many times you ask. If you start to practise this, know that you always receive an answer.

Give First Then Receive

One of my main motivations for building this site was to help people form their own mastermind groups locally. I hopefully will be able to provide a platform for this in the future. As for me I am in the process right now of creating my own and I am very excited about the possibilities it will bring. If you are thinking of setting one up or are currently in a mastermind group, remember this very important point:

You cannot expect to receive anything until you first give. Enter in with the intention to give others your best, with the sincere desire to be of benefit to the other members and you will undoubtedly receive the same back many times over.
