Another ‘Secret’ Hypocrite
You have to love so-called experts who ‘teach’ the Law of Attraction but only seem to think it applies to them when things are going well. After Esther Hicks seemed to dodge responsibility for being edited out of ‘The Secret’, it is now David Schirmer’s turn to play the victim. He has allegedly been found out as a scammer in an Australian current affair program.
It’s such as same as many of us in the Personal Development community love ‘The Secret’. We believe in its principles even though a lot of us can see that some important aspects of the Law of Attraction were omitted. I don’t want to fill this post with embedded videos from youtube so here’s the links to the TV program.
Okay, to me it’s actually quite hard to watch David squirm as he scrambles to find ways to defend himself. However, it is actually his own video response which does the most damage. He contradicts himself over and over. He says he is passionate about spreading the news about how we can attract things into our lives. Apparently his motive in doing the interviews was to spread this message (nothing to do with getting more seminar attendees and investors
).
The law indeed is perfect and unchanging, it’s what you do with it that matters. The same power that grows a seed into a plant, will bring your thoughts into objective manifestation. The law of attraction doesn’t care what type of seed you plant, that part is up to you. The seeds in your mind i.e. your thoughts, will sooner or later produce a harvest according to their own kind. The conclusion therefore is strikingly simple; to live a good life, think good thoughts, think thoughts of happiness and harmony. In order to experience discord, think discordant thoughts, seek to manipulate others and rip them off. David Schirmer here is not a victim, such a thing would not be possible and so his knowledge of the law is lacking.
This said, we all have taken short-cuts in our lives. We all have sought, at one time or another, to take advantage of others to our own benefit. Schirmer, playing on a bigger stage than most of us, has unfortunately succumbed to temptation and has suffered a very public fall. Karma takes care of itself and so we can and should let the man get on with his life and work through it himself. My only hope is that he learns to accept responsibility and change himself in order to change the outer picture. If he continues to play the victim, he will surely be attracting more unpleasant experiences to himself. As far as I’m concerned, all is forgiven and I wish him all the prosperity and happiness in the world.

True, the Universe does not disceren between good and bad, it only reacts to our thoughts. We are the ultimate creator of our reality.

It has been some months now since Schirmer was sprung for being a conman, and since he promised to start paying back the money. Some of his victims have been in contact with me, and sad to say, he has not paid back one cent of what he promised on National Television. This is not surprising since it is a familiar pattern in Schirmer’s life.
If you knew the amount of legal threats that he makes against those that start questioning, especially if he owes them money, you would realise that taking responsibility is not one of his strong points. The Law of Attraction is working well and I am sure that we are going to see Schirmer in even more hot water soon.

Those cheques that kept arriving in the mail were obviously from all of seminar people and investors that he was ripping off.
He must have known that it would come back and bite him if he made himself so high profiles via the secret

lol, true Steve. Karma is an immutable law, he should have realized that.

And now there is an ACA part 4 as well as another one done by a New Zealand TV show when Schirmer tried to sell his snake oil in NZ. They can be seen from this page:

It appears that all the critics of Esther Hicks seem to be really really really focused on negativity and have a pessimistic attitude. They also very much appear to not have near enough knowledge or research to sound rational in their criticisms.
They are greatest examples of “The Law of Attraction”. You experience what you focus on. Why look upon this law as something either being good or being evil? It just is what it is. What you focus on, is what you experience. Some experiences are desirable and some are not. Esther knows full well that she and Jerry are not immune to the Law of Attraction.
And now, I choose to stop this nonsense, and stop reading these posts, and focus on what I DO WANT in my life.

David will find his way as will we all. He is creating every bit of it as do we all. So I choose to focus on what I want, as can we all.

There is no way that you can justify conning and stealing (under the disguise of investment) and expect to get away with it. Schirmer tried it once too often and now it has caught up with him. I take my hat off to those people that stand up to this type of behaviour, yet schirmer and all his supporters try and justify it by damning every person who they feel dwell on the negative. Positive does not exist without a negative, so if you pretend there is no negative, then there is also no positive. We are accountable for everything we do, both right and wrong, and we must face up to it. Just because we think that it is ‘negative’ doesn’t mean we can pass it off and forget about it. We are responsible for our actions, both negative and positive and trying to avoid the negative will cause you nothing but grief….just as schirmer is now experiencing.
