2 Words you should Cut out of your Dictionary

There are 2 words that I believe you should remove from your vocabulary. In fact, go one step further and actually cut these words out of your dictionary (the symbolism is great! ;) ). These two words will hold you back in life, they’ll drain your creativity, keep in locked in fear, ensure that you don’t achieve your goals and the list could really go on all day. The 2 words I am speaking of are ‘Problem’ and ‘Impossible.’ (I’ve included pictures of me removing these words from my dictionary for fun). So let’s tackle both these words.

Problem

You need not ever have another problem as long as you live. You will be faced with challenges in your life though. See, ‘problem’ has a negative, defeatist connotation. ‘Challenge’ on the other hand is much more positive, you feel able to rise to a challenge whereas you can feel overwhelmed by problems. ‘Problems’ have a purpose; to cause you to grow. If you are using a word for them that doesn’t allow you to see this meaning, you should change the word. The word ‘challenge’ does this for me quite well.

Imagine a circle labelled your comfort zone. Obviously a challenge lies outside the walls of this zone or it wouldn’t be a challenge to you. Think about it, in order to rise to this challenge and emerge victorious, you will have to push yourself outside of your comfort zone. This will mean doing some things you have never done before or learning a new skill. Once the challenge has been met, your zone of comfort has expanded and you are a ‘bigger’ person.

Impossible

Just think of the negativity contained within this word. The only thing impossible for you is what you chose to believe so. If you consider something impossible, you will NEVER find the means to accomplishing it. Anyone interested in the Law of Attraction or the power of their subconscious mind knows that you must consider the end result a done deal. Yes you must believe in your heart (subconscious mind) that your goal’s accomplishment has already been agreed by God.

Once you truly internalise this belief, you will attract the means and the know-how to arrive where you want. Job 22:28 says

You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways”

This means, at the point of belief, the outcome has been assured. The means will also be given to you, “and light will shine upon your ways.” I’m pretty sure the Wright brothers were ridiculed and told that their dream was impossible when they said they were going to make man fly. I can understand why would would have seemed impossible in a flightless world but nevertheless, the history-makers are the ones that refuse to accept that anything is impossible.
